About Me
I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. My training included a year-long post-doc fellowship at the Wright Recovery Addictions Clinic, an internship at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst (an American Psychological Association accredited program), and employment as a therapist & educator at the Martinez Veterans Medical Center. My work is also informed by years of experience as a crisis phone counselor, hospice aide, a Big Brother and teacher.
In addition to my private practice, I served as adjunct faculty at the Wright Institute, where I was the Licensing Coordinator and Clinical Director of the Wright Recovery Clinic. In this role, I trained and supervised doctoral students in psychotherapy and addictions treatment. My academic journey includes studies at Claremont McKenna and Western Washington University, where I focused on economics and hard sciences. This led to a career as a research geologist two decades ago. As a California native, I’ve also had the privilege of living on the East Coast, in the Northwest, and in East Asia.
My California license number is PSY 23600.
